Job Summary

The Fiber Optic Measurement Technician is responsible for the comprehensive measurement, evaluation, and commissioning of fiber optic routes. Daily tasks include performing bidirectional OTDR measurements (at 1310/1550 nm), meticulously creating measurement protocols, and documenting all results. A key responsibility involves independently planning LWL measurement work through established change processes, including maintaining records in systems like Mega.Net. The technician coordinates schedules and technical requirements with both internal departments and external customers, commissions new fiber optic connections, and manages the coordination and follow-up of defect remediation. Successful candidates must have completed training in communications or electrical engineering and possess initial professional experience in optical transmission technology, along with strong technical communication skills.
