Job Summary
This role seeks an IT-savvy Data Analyst to become the expert in tax statistics for the Bavarian State Office for Statistics in Schweinfurt. The primary focus involves the professional management and development of Property Tax Statistics and E-Balance Sheet statistics. Day-to-day tasks include performing extensive data analyses and evaluations, particularly focusing on small-scale and georeferenced data. The analyst acts as a crucial link between internal and external stakeholders, coordinating the implementation and continuous development of statistical methodologies. A key responsibility is providing reliable, high-impact information to Bavarian ministries and the public for critical decision-making. Ideal candidates possess a relevant degree in fields like Statistics, Data Science, or Informatics, strong knowledge of data analysis programming (e.g., R, SAS, Python), and excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively moderate technical discussions and present complex statistical content clearly. This position offers an attractive, permanent contract with flexible working hours and home office options.
Required Skills
Education
Completed Bachelor's degree (University or Technical College) or Diploma in Informatics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or Economics with a specialization in Statistics/Databases.
Experience
- Professional experience in data analysis and evaluation using current programming languages (e.g., R, SAS, Python)
- Experience in coordinating statistical implementation and methodology development
- Knowledge of German tax law (advantageous)
