Job Summary
This critical role involves developing and implementing complex automation solutions for the manufacturing of high-quality, miniaturized connectors. The Process Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle, including the design, construction, electrical planning, and programming of new assembly tools and fixtures. Key daily activities include leading automation projects, qualifying new processes for serial production, and optimizing assembly line efficiency using Lean principles. Collaboration with product designers is essential for design validation. Candidates must possess a degree in Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and demonstrate several years of practical experience in commissioning automation systems, coupled with strong expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and image processing. This position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to drive technological innovation within a supportive, medium-sized enterprise known for its flat hierarchies and excellent work environment near Stuttgart.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in programming automation systems
- Several years of professional experience in the construction and commissioning of automation systems
- Experience with IE-Tools (e.g., 5W1H, Poka Yoke, SMED, Motion Analysis)
Languages
Additional
- Proficiency in MS Office; Knowledge of TS 13849 is desirable.
