Job Summary

The Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA) is seeking a dedicated Signal Technology Engineer to join their team in Berlin as a Case Officer. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction, maintenance, and operation of railway signal, electrical, and telecommunications systems for Deutsche Bahn and other railway companies. Your day-to-day tasks will involve reviewing execution plans, conducting acceptance tests for new constructions and modifications, and ensuring operational safety during construction. You will also investigate irregularities, contribute to annual monitoring programs, and address technical inquiries. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and efficiency of Germany's railway infrastructure within a modern federal agency, providing an interesting and varied work environment.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences Diploma (FH-Diplom) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a comparable technical field with a focus on signal, telecommunications, or electrical engineering, OR qualification for the higher technical administrative service in the federal administration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in signal technology is advantageous
  • Knowledge of the technical interrelationships within the EBA is advantageous
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of signal technology is advantageous
  • Professional training related to electrical engineering or knowledge of railway systems is advantageous
