Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Software Development Team Lead to drive the digitalization of energy distribution grids through an innovative, end-to-end IoT ecosystem. You will be responsible for the technical and organizational coordination of two critical development teams: the Edge Team, focusing on embedded software for smart metering devices, and the Cloud Team, developing scalable backend architectures, databases, middleware, and frontends for device management. Daily tasks include steering the development of embedded firmware (ensuring stability and security), conceptualizing and optimizing the backend architecture for scalability using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, and Azure, and ensuring seamless integration between hardware and cloud systems. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, combined with several years of experience in both Embedded Systems and Cloud development, and proficiency in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps principles. This position, ideally based in Hamburg, offers a central role in shaping the future of the energy transition.
