Job Summary

This Senior Data Engineer role is pivotal in shaping the future of Data Analytics & AI by building and managing the technological foundation for data-driven innovation. Day-to-day responsibilities include the conception, construction, and operation of highly scalable data platforms utilizing cloud environments (Azure or AWS). The engineer will develop and optimize high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines for both structured and unstructured data, integrate diverse source systems, and apply modern Big Data technologies like Spark and Databricks for efficient processing. A key focus is ensuring data quality, monitoring, and automating data processes, alongside actively defining standards and best practices in collaboration with department leadership. Candidates must possess a degree in a relevant technical field, several years of professional experience in Data Engineering, and be fluent in both German and English.
