Job Summary
This part-time (65%) position invites highly motivated PhD students to join the Laboratory of Population Genomics and Functional Genomics at the German Heart Center in Munich. The core mission involves conducting cutting-edge biological research focused on discovering therapeutic gene targets for obesity and coronary artery disease. Daily tasks will include applying advanced biological techniques such as CRISPR-based gene editing, cell culture, and animal experiments within large-scale genome screening projects. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in these laboratory skills, possess a strong interest in cardiovascular research, and exhibit high levels of accuracy, reliability, and organizational acumen. The role requires very good written and spoken English and strong team communication skills.
