Job Summary
This role involves shaping sustainable, cost-effective, and ecological mobility within the city of Innsbruck by focusing on the expansion of pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the conception and planning of pedestrian and cycling facilities, including securing and managing funding, and routing/wayfinding. A key component is ensuring that walking and cycling receive adequate consideration in all traffic planning, construction, and operation processes, particularly based on the Cycling Master Plan 2030. The officer acts as the primary contact for citizens, collaborates with mobility organizations and lobby groups, and manages public relations and events to promote active travel. This position requires a background in civil engineering, strong project management skills, creativity in urban design, and excellent communication abilities to achieve consensus and drive implementation.

Education
Higher Technical Institute (HTL) level qualification in Civil Engineering or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in project work from planning to implementation
- Experience in dealing with social media
- Personal cycling experience in Innsbruck
- Experience in representing interests in planning processes and regulatory procedures (StVO)
