Job Summary

This challenging and innovative role seeks an Electrical Designer specializing in EPLAN P8 to join a growing engineering service provider in the Cologne area. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the independent planning and creation of detailed electrical schematics and control cabinet layouts using EPLAN P8. A core function is the selection and precise dimensioning of electrical automation components, including sensor technology, actuators, drives, and controls, requiring close collaboration with mechanical design teams and external suppliers. Furthermore, the role demands rigorous review of project designs to ensure compliance with all relevant electrotechnical guidelines and industry standards, culminating in the creation of comprehensive technical documentation. Successful candidates must hold a degree in Electrical or Automation Technology or possess an equivalent Technician qualification. Essential qualifications include strong practical knowledge of EPLAN P8, experience in control cabinet layout planning, a high degree of technical understanding, and proficiency with MS Office and warehouse management systems.
