Job Summary

This role seeks a specialized Systems Engineer focusing on advanced braking systems, offering continuous career development within a leading engineering firm. The primary responsibilities include comprehensive analysis and allocation of customer documentation across engineering domains, coupled with monitoring market trends to inform future development strategies. Key tasks involve designing complex physical and functional architectures for specialized demonstration vehicles, integrating crucial safety, display, and operating concepts. The engineer will also be responsible for developing independent safety functions in collaboration with functional safety teams, managing project timelines, coordinating internal and external teams, and executing structured, bottom-up fault analyses during the integration phase. Essential qualifications include a degree in Mechatronics or a related field, deep experience in model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink, proficiency in JAVA and Python programming, and familiarity with key requirements management tools like DOORS. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory for success in this highly technical and collaborative role.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, Vehicle Technology, or comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in model-based development using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow
  • Professional experience with programming in JAVA and Python
  • Professional experience with requirements management tools: DOORS, DNG, System Composer
  • Experience with instrumentation is advantageous
  • Understanding of ISO 26262 (functional safety) is desired
