Job Summary

The Senior Applied Scientist will be instrumental in scaling the Applied Science backbone for Ads recommendation and personalization within Zalando Marketing Services. This role focuses on developing and delivering scientifically-sound, real-time recommendation solutions for Sponsored Product and Campaign advertisements. Day-to-day tasks involve leading the research component of AI-heavy projects end-to-end, defining long-term scientific roadmaps for complex problems like customer behavior and multi-objective modeling, and implementing machine learning and deep learning solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Recsys, Machine/Reinforcement Learning, and Causal Inference, coupled with project leadership skills to guide junior colleagues and collaborate effectively with Product Managers and Engineers to define the product vision and roadmap.
