Job Summary

This Automation Engineer role is critical for managing the full lifecycle of production and manufacturing plants, from initial design and planning through to commissioning and final customer acceptance. Daily responsibilities include the integration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and process visualization systems, programming control software using standards like IEC 61131, and rigorous testing utilizing various simulation tools. A crucial aspect of the role involves connecting these complex systems to databases and coordinating closely with both internal teams and external partners. Successful candidates must possess a university degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field, or hold an equivalent certification as an Electrical Engineering/Automation Technician. Several years of professional experience in automation technology are required, along with very strong knowledge of major PLC systems (e.g., Simatic S7, Allen Bradley), common bus systems (Profibus, DeviceNet), and visualization software (e.g., WinCC).
