Job Summary

This role supports the Office for Information Technology and Digitalization in Senftenberg, focusing on the administration and maintenance of critical network and server infrastructure. Key responsibilities include the analysis, selection, installation, and administration of the physical network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, VPN, VOIP), along with configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls. The officer ensures technical compliance with IT security guidelines, performs regular performance optimizations, and handles server, monitoring, and software distribution systems. A significant part of the job involves managing IT security and firewall systems, analyzing patches for compatibility, and overseeing performance and incident management. Furthermore, the role requires administering virtualization, storage, and backup systems to guarantee high availability and disaster recovery, including the conception and execution of migration processes. Candidates must hold a university degree in Informatics or be close to graduation (by Spring 2026), demonstrating strong analytical, conceptual, and project management capabilities.
