Job Summary

This part-time role at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) involves supporting the Biomarkers in Acute Cardiac Care (BACC) clinical cohort study within the Cardiology Clinic. Day-to-day tasks include hands-on laboratory work, specifically measuring biomarkers from human blood samples using Point-of-Care devices, standardized computer-aided data documentation, and utilizing the study's internal sample management system. Assistants will also help with patient follow-up and documentation in the digital database. The ideal candidates are enrolled Human Medicine students who are open, willing to learn new topics, and possess a self-reliant, structured, and team-oriented work style. This position offers invaluable practical experience in medical research, providing insight into an established cardiology cohort study and allowing flexible working hours (approximately 30 hours/month) suitable for student schedules, contributing directly to future guidelines for myocardial infarction diagnostics.
