Job Summary

This role requires an IT Service Desk Specialist to join the Office for Information Technology within the Nuremberg City Administration, playing a vital part in the city's digital transformation efforts. Daily responsibilities center on the full lifecycle management of end-user IT infrastructure. This includes the installation and configuration of networked systems (PCs, notebooks) utilizing MS-Windows operating systems and centralized software distribution, along with setting up and commissioning peripheral hardware like printers. The specialist will be responsible for functional testing, comprehensive troubleshooting, and providing essential user support via the central IT Service Desk hotline. Candidates must have successfully completed relevant vocational training, such as an IT Specialist certification, or possess equivalent comprehensive skills, coupled with a minimum of one year of relevant professional experience. Key technical competencies include profound knowledge of MS-Windows OS, Active Directory, and current PC hardware.
