Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Mechanical Designer to join DFT, a specialist in overhead conveyor technology and logistics systems, based in Bielefeld and part of the international KNAPP AG group. The successful candidate will act as a crucial interface between project sales and project management, focusing on the mechanical design and implementation of complex sorting and sequencing systems for e-commerce and retail supply chains. Day-to-day responsibilities involve developing precise system layouts based on initial sales concepts, ensuring timely project execution, and providing essential technical support and customized constructive solutions to project leaders. A key function is managing the material disposition of mechanical components using the company's ERP system to maintain smooth project flow. Applicants must possess a completed technical education, ideally a Certified Technician qualification or equivalent professional experience in design/construction. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems, specifically AutoCAD and Vectorworks, is highly desired, coupled with strong analytical skills and solution-oriented communication.
