Job Summary

The Facility Manager will take strategic responsibility for the planning, coordination, and monitoring of all maintenance, renovation, and construction activities across multiple Swiss production and administrative sites for a leading international machinery company specializing in pharmaceutical technology. Key duties include developing strategic maintenance plans, managing budgets, overseeing the lifecycle of buildings and technical systems, and leading various expansion and refurbishment projects. The role demands ensuring operational safety and managing all technical building contracts (maintenance, cleaning, etc.). This position is highly interdisciplinary, involving process optimization projects and collaboration with Global HQ and EMEA teams. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant degree (Civil Engineering or Building Technology/FM), possess significant leadership experience in technical Facility Management, and demonstrate proficiency with SAP and potentially CAFM systems. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology/Facility Management, or a similar relevant field, plus further specialization/training in Facility Management.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in a similar leadership position
  • Proven track record as a Safety Officer in technical Facility Management of buildings and production facilities
  • Experience in the technical/producing industry, potentially a highly regulated environment (e.g., cleanroom production)
  • Experience in leading and coordinating expansion and conversion projects within the technical industry
