Job Summary

This role involves cutting-edge research and development at TU Dresden focused on designing a highly efficient, multistandard-capable, and broadband power amplifier for future resource-saving 6G communication technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire design cycle, including research, simulation, layout, optimization, implementation, and measurement of the power amplifier, ensuring efficient operation across a wide frequency range (1.8 GHz to 6.5 GHz) to support standards like DECT NR+, WiFi (2.4 GHz, 5.7 GHz, and 6E). This position offers a unique opportunity for scientific qualification (typically a PhD or Habilitation) within the high-profile, BMBF-funded 6Glife2 project, contributing significantly to the future of integrated high-frequency and mixed-signal circuits in one of Europe’s largest microelectronics clusters (Silicon Saxony).

Required Skills

Education

Very good or good university degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, or Information Technology. Doctoral degree (PhD) is optional/preferred for Postdoc level.

Experience

  • Professional experience in circuit design, high-frequency, semiconductor, and communication technology
  • Experience with IC-Design methodology and testing
  • Knowledge regarding the use of CAD-IC-Design tools for circuit simulation and chip layout is beneficial
  • Knowledge in the field of optoelectronics is helpful
