Job Summary

This role involves joining a robust engineering and IT team focused on energy technology in Düren, Germany, as a Network Administrator/Engineer. The core responsibilities revolve around the planning, configuration, and optimization of modern Cisco network infrastructures, including switches, routers, and current device generations. Day-to-day tasks include performing software and firmware updates, managing IP-Management systems (covering configuration, fault management, IPAM, and performance monitoring), and providing third-level support for complex network issues. A critical component of the job is assessing and implementing security-critical measures, analyzing security alerts (PSIRTs), and contributing to the continuous development of the network architecture. Candidates must possess professional experience with Cisco devices, deep knowledge of IP networks (including routing protocols like IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS), and experience in software and patch management processes. The position offers flexible working hours, remote work options, and an indefinite contract.
