Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Metrology Coordinator to join a specialist firm in the aerospace industry on a permanent contract. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the organization and execution of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) measurements for critical aviation components. The coordinator will be responsible for planning and managing measurement orders, selecting appropriate measurement strategies (tactile, optical, multisensory), and utilizing specialized software like Hexagon PC-DMIS and PolyWorks for programming and optimization. A key part of the role includes analyzing measurement data, interpreting complex form and position tolerances, and generating detailed test reports, working closely with quality assurance and development teams. Ideal candidates possess a completed technical education (e.g., as a Metrology Technician or Industrial Mechanic) coupled with further qualifications (Technician/Master Craftsman level) and multi-year professional experience in 3D coordinate metrology, preferably within the demanding aerospace sector. Strong command of technical drawings and good written and spoken German and English skills are essential for success in this innovative and technologically dynamic environment.
