Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the highest safety standards related to radiation sources used in industrial measurement and control technology within Eckert & Ziegler Nuclitec GmbH in Braunschweig. The specialist will be responsible for comprehensive radiation protection planning for new workplaces and handling procedures. Key day-to-day activities include independent participation in complex projects such as facility and process modifications, disposal, and decommissioning. A core function is the creation, preparation, and compilation of regulatory documentation, alongside drafting detailed reports on radiation protection topics according to operational guidelines. Furthermore, the specialist will conduct essential environmental monitoring, including air, water, and surrounding area measurements, and contribute to developing new sampling and measurement procedures. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Physics or Radiochemistry and possesses fluent German and English skills, ideally complemented by experience as a certified Radiation Protection Officer.
