Job Summary

This pivotal role as a Process and Risk Manager within the Projects & Technology department of BLS involves actively shaping the operational procedures crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of 62 million passengers and 18,000 freight trains annually. You will be responsible for steering the process and risk management framework, optimizing project methodologies, standards, and processes to enhance efficiency and quality across the division. A key part of the role is coaching project leaders on methodical questions related to process, project, and risk management, as well as advising corporate functions on strategic and methodological issues. As a member of the Projects & Technology management team, you will contribute directly to the strategic development of BLS infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical background combined with business administration expertise and proven experience in leading complex infrastructure projects, ideally within the public transport sector, offering a unique opportunity to drive safety and future orientation within a critical Swiss transport operator.

Required Skills

Education

Higher Technical Education combined with business administration further training, supplemented by specialist further training in Process, Project, and/or Risk Management.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in leading complex projects and process modeling, ideally within the public transport sector.
  • Experience in risk management within the context of complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong persuasive ability, communication, and collaboration skills with diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinking and understanding of modern IT and project management tools.
