Job Summary
This role is for an Electrical Engineering Service Technician responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure at a major airport (Leipzig/Halle). Day-to-day tasks involve acting as the system owner, executing maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems, including medium-voltage networks (up to 20 kV), low-voltage systems, control systems, airport lighting, and emergency power supplies (UPS, generators). The technician is also responsible for analyzing and resolving malfunctions, managing external contractors, and meticulous documentation of all service activities. Key requirements include a completed electrical engineering trade qualification, multi-year professional experience as a qualified electrician, and specific authorization for switching medium-voltage networks up to 30 kV. This position offers a dynamic environment at a growing international transport hub, requiring readiness to work in a rotating shift system and participate in winter services and salvage operations.
