This role is ideal for an ambitious Theoretical Physicist or Mathematician specializing in Optics, focusing on the simulation and optimization of advanced optical systems, particularly lithography objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include simulating and evaluating the physical-optical properties of lithography objectives, developing concepts for the design and optimization of optical systems, and defining tolerances. A core part of the job involves creating and maintaining simulation programs. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Physics or Mathematics (a PhD is advantageous) and possesses strong knowledge in technical or physical optics. Experience with scripting languages like Perl and Python, as well as programming proficiency in C and C++, is highly desirable.
