Job Summary

This Chemical Plant Operator role is central to the Operations division at Hywax GmbH in the Port of Hamburg, a key part of the international AWAX Group specializing in the production of paraffin waxes and related products. The operator will be responsible for running complex chemical systems, including emulsion, hydrogenation, and deoiling plants, as well as production supply facilities like the boiler house. Daily activities involve continuous monitoring and control of the plants using process control systems, troubleshooting deviations, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Furthermore, the role includes essential logistics tasks such as loading and unloading tank vehicles and rail cars, preparing shipping documentation, and performing chemical sampling and analysis. Candidates must possess a completed Chemical Technician qualification, strong technical understanding, and the flexibility to work in a continuous shift system.
