Job Summary
This role seeks an engaged and knowledgeable professional to join a successful planning and engineering consultancy in Bensheim, focusing on environmental planning and nature conservation within ambitious urban development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing environmental reports, green space planning, and landscape maintenance plans, alongside conducting impact/compensation assessments and habitat mapping. Key tasks also include ecological construction supervision, client consultation, and active participation in public engagement and regulatory procedures. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Geoecology, Environmental Planning, Biology, or a related field, coupled with several years of relevant professional experience. This position offers significant autonomy, a supportive team environment, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to develop and expand the Environmental Planning department in a region known for its high quality of life.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Geoecology, Environmental or Landscape Planning, Biology, Geography, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of experience in environmental planning, nature conservation, or environmental law
- Proven ability in creating environmental reports and conducting environmental assessments
- Professional experience with Biotoptypenkartierung (Habitat Mapping) and faunistic species groups (Ideally)
- Experience in public participation procedures and attending regulatory appointments
