Job Summary
This position offers a highly motivated individual the opportunity to pursue a PhD within the Cluster of Excellence “Responsible Electronics in the Climate Change Era (REC²)” at TUD Dresden University of Technology. The role, based in the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry I, focuses on developing sustainable chemical technologies for metal deposition and structuring techniques (e.g., printing and patterning) crucial for advanced electronics. Day-to-day tasks involve materials synthesis, interface chemistry development, and comprehensive characterization of materials and interfaces, culminating in device integration. The associate will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with scientists across engineering, sustainability, and social sciences within the REC2 Cluster. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Chemistry, strong knowledge of inorganic chemistry, materials science, and synthesis procedures, alongside excellent written and spoken English proficiency and strong teamwork skills. This position offers structured PhD supervision, access to state-of-the-art research, and potential for high-risk/high-gain research funding.
