This role seeks a Building Automation Design Engineer to independently manage planning tasks within Plant Group 8, focusing on Integrated Building and Room Automation, Measurement, Control, and Regulation (MSR) technology, covering planning phases 1 through 7 of the HOAI. The successful candidate will contribute to technically challenging projects for industrial, private, and public sector clients, collaborating closely with HVAC specialists. Responsibilities include taking ownership of project subtasks, managing budgets, and serving as a reliable technical point of contact for clients. Key qualifications include a degree in Automation, Electrical, or Supply Engineering with a focus on Building Technology, or equivalent certification (Technician/Master). Candidates should possess initial professional experience in building automation planning and strong knowledge of industry regulations, technical fire protection standards, and relevant planning software, ensuring a self-reliant and solution-oriented approach to work.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Automation, Electrical, or Supply Engineering (Building Technology focus); alternatively, certification as a State-Certified Technician or Master.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in Building Automation planning or Technical Building Equipment planning is desirable
  • Professional knowledge of industry-specific regulations and installation guidelines for supply and electrical systems
  • Experience applying VOB, VDI/DIN guidelines, and technical fire protection standards
