Job Summary

This position is for a highly motivated PhD student to join the Laboratory of Immunology at the Institute of Nutritional Medicine, University of Lübeck, focusing on advanced research into allergy stages and allergen-specific therapy. The primary goal is to compare different immune states—from healthy sensitization to severe asthma—by analyzing complex antibody compositions. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing sophisticated laboratory techniques such as antibody ELISA, glycosylation analysis, and T and B single-cell analysis. The research contributes to the hypothesis that varying T and B cell responses and qualitatively different IgE antibodies drive the dynamic transition between immune states. Candidates must have completed a relevant university study. This role offers the attractive opportunity to work within a highly motivated team and potentially become a member of the newly approved DFG Research Training Group 3095, fostering advanced scientific development.
