Job Summary

This role involves performing a variety of wet-chemical analyses on environmental samples, including water, soil, and sewage sludge. Key responsibilities include determining parameters like COD, BOD5, sulfide, fluoride, nitrogen, and turbidity, as well as conducting acid digestions using microwave technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely analysis and evaluation of samples, meticulous documentation of quality controls, and participation in interlaboratory comparisons. This position is ideal for a qualified Chemical Technical Assistant or Chemical Laboratory Technician, or even a chemistry student who has discontinued their studies but possesses a strong interest in analytical chemistry. While prior analytical experience is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain practical experience in an analytical laboratory setting. The initial contract is for two years, with a strong potential for long-term employment.
