Job Summary

This permanent position in Berlin/Würzburg requires an experienced professional to manage, operate, and document the entire network infrastructure for the German Pension Insurance (DRV Bund) and its shared data center. Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and operating network components, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies. A crucial aspect of the role involves the conception, development, and maintenance of automation scripts, specifically using tools like Ansible and Python. The administrator will be heavily involved in high-level problem analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous monitoring of the infrastructure. Furthermore, the role demands strict adherence to and control of IT security standards based on BSI Basic Protection guidelines for Critical Infrastructures (KRITIS). Candidates must possess specialized knowledge in network technologies such as SD-WAN, DMVPN, or Cisco Catalyst Center, coupled with fluent German skills and a willingness to participate in on-call duty and occasional weekend work.

Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of higher education (Bachelor, Diploma FH) in the IT field, or completed vocational training in the IT field, or comparable practical experience in the IT field.

Experience

  • Multiple years of job-relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in network administration or IT operations
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one specialized network technology (SD-WAN, DMVPN, ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center, ACI, OSPF)
