Job Summary
The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Stuttgart (CVUA Stuttgart) is seeking an IT Specialist to join their team and drive the digital transformation of their modern laboratory operations. This role is central to planning and implementing complex software solutions, focusing on improving existing systems at the intersection of office communication and laboratory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include quality assurance, testing implemented solutions, evaluating new technologies, and actively managing error, change, and release processes for internal software. The specialist will translate the needs of laboratory staff into clear technical solutions, requiring strong knowledge of Windows client/server systems, network architectures (LAN/WLAN, VLAN), and NAS systems. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or a related field, expertise in IT security and scripting (VBA, PowerShell, Python), and excellent German and English proficiency (B2 level minimum). Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma (FH) or Bachelor of Science) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Geoinformatics, or a comparable field
Experience
- Professional experience in complex software solution planning and implementation
- Long-term professional experience providing equivalent skills and knowledge (alternative to degree)
- Experience with network technology (LAN/WLAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP)
- Experience in supporting an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
