This exciting career opportunity seeks an HVDC Control and Protection Studies Engineer to specialize in the advanced modeling and simulation of High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems. The role involves utilizing specialized tools like MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD/EMTDC to model HVDC plants and their control systems, specifically integrating voltage-forming control concepts (e.g., direct voltage control, grid-forming). Day-to-day tasks include performing complex network calculations, such as stability analyses and reactive power assessments, using Powerfactory/Digsilent. Ideal candidates must possess a Master's degree or higher in Electrical or Control Engineering, coupled with excellent expertise in power electronics and converter modeling (HVDC, WTG). Success in this position requires practical experience with the specified simulation tools, strong knowledge of voltage-forming control concepts, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
