Job Summary

This critical role involves managing and developing the operational occupational safety and environmental management systems within a pharmaceutical contract manufacturing environment. The engineer will assume the official function of an Occupational Safety Specialist (Sifa), driving compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety practices. Day-to-day tasks include controlling the effectiveness of safety measures, conducting site inspections and detailed hazard assessments, and ensuring strict adherence to German occupational safety laws (ASiG, DGUV). Furthermore, the role focuses on environmental protection, including developing strategies to reduce environmental impact (emissions, consumption), collecting KPIs for sustainability reporting, and performing process risk evaluations. The ideal candidate holds a technical or chemical degree, recognized Sifa certification, and multi-year experience in production safety, preferably within the chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
