Platform Development Systems Engineer for Mission Systems | Systemingenieur Plattformentwicklung im Bereich Missionssysteme (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves working as a Platform Development Systems Engineer within the OPTARION® Agile Release Train, focusing on developing a mission planning solution for helicopters. The engineer will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, specifically designing and implementing the technical foundation for the newest platform generation within the Voice/IT-HW/Platform (VIP) team. Key daily tasks include deriving and conceptualizing system architecture, translating customer requirements into technical concepts (Epics/User Stories), and performing system-wide fault analysis and troubleshooting. A strong technical background is essential, requiring expertise in Windows Server/Client administration, PowerShell scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using DSC. The successful candidate will also handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server/client landscapes (physical and virtual), automate infrastructure processes, utilize container technologies like Docker, and implement security and encryption requirements. Experience in a DevOps environment and the defense/aerospace sector is a significant advantage.
