Job Summary

This role as a Laboratory Logistics Specialist involves critical support for the laboratory operations at Aurubis AG in Hamburg. The primary responsibilities revolve around comprehensive sample management, including the proper storage, retrieval, and disposal of a large sample inventory, estimated at approximately 10,000 samples. Day-to-day duties include the physical preparation of samples—such as drying, crushing, mixing, and creating average samples—and linking them within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Furthermore, the specialist is responsible for ensuring the lab is fully supplied, accurately delivering samples to their destination, and preparing necessary chemical solutions according to strict protocols. A key requirement for this position is a completed vocational qualification, such as a Chemical Technician (Chemikant), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), paired with a highly accurate, speedy, and reliable work ethic. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technician, Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Experience performing maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare chemical solutions following precise guidelines.
  • Experience in the precise handling and administration of large sample inventories.
