Job Summary

This role seeks an Embedded Software Developer specializing in Production and Hardware Security to join Schmitt Engineering in Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing firmware using C/C++ for embedded systems, ensuring robust security through mechanisms like Secure Boot, encryption, and secure coding practices (Security by Design). Key daily tasks include integrating production requirements into development, performing rigorous code and security reviews, implementing secure Over-the-Air (OTA) update mechanisms, and thorough debugging across all phases. You will work closely with hardware, QA, security, and production teams to ensure seamless integration. Essential qualifications include a completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent, proven firmware development experience, and fundamental knowledge of embedded security concepts. This is an unlimited contract opportunity offering work on diverse, high-tech projects, requiring fluent German and English skills.
