Job Summary

This role is for an Electrical Testing and Calibration Technician focused on power metering systems within Germany’s largest distribution network operator, located in Essen-Kettwig. The technician will be responsible for independently creating and coordinating concepts and specifications for testing electricity meters, measurement system components, and current/voltage transformers across the entire group. Key daily activities include executing mandatory calibrations, acceptance tests, official sample tests, and detailed documentation thereof. A critical component of the job involves coordinating qualification procedures, including planning, monitoring, and continuous development, as well as liaising directly with regulatory authorities, manufacturers, and customers regarding testing operations. Candidates must bring a strong background in electrical systems, proficiency in fault analysis on testing equipment, and either possess or be prepared to acquire the qualification as a Testing Station Manager for Electricity Meters.
