Job Summary

This crucial role involves leading and developing a shift team in the energy sector, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration while maintaining reliable, environmentally friendly power generation. The Shift Leader is responsible for the safe and proper operation of complex power plant systems, including gas and steam turbine combined cycle units (GuD), heat recovery steam generators, peak load boilers, and district heating systems with integrated heat storage. Day-to-day tasks include providing instruction and training to new employees, supporting management on organizational matters, and acting as the system owner (Anlagenverantwortlicher) with operational responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification in energy, operational, or mechanical engineering, along with professional experience and a strong understanding of complex plant technology. This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the energy transition towards climate neutrality in Halle (Saale) within a stable municipal energy provider.
