Job Summary

This role is ideal for an ambitious engineering professional, potentially a career starter, looking to drive technological innovation in mechanical engineering, specifically within polymer processing and packaging design. The Laboratory Engineer will be responsible for conducting assessments of preforms and bottles, managing preform design, and performing bottle sampling in the lab. Key daily tasks include supporting mold construction, consulting internal clients on bottle design and development while considering process engineering aspects, and documenting procedural instructions. A significant part of the role involves product optimization during commissioning and acceptance testing in Hamburg and globally at customer sites. Candidates must possess a degree in a relevant engineering field (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Plastics Technology), ideally with initial professional experience in plastics processing, and be prepared for substantial international travel (approx. 40%).
