Job Summary
The Düsseldorf University Hospital is seeking a Bioinformatician to join the Institute of Pathology for a fixed-term position until August 2027, focusing on the BMBF-funded ENDOFERT project concerning endometriosis. This role centers on the bioinformatic processing and analysis of complex spatial OMICS datasets, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like COSMX, Xenium, and CODEX assays. Day-to-day responsibilities include establishing necessary bioinformatic analysis software in collaboration with the core bioinformatics unit, managing technical interfaces (TMA platform, CUBI), and performing fundamental sequencing data analysis. Candidates must hold a Master's or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline, coupled with professional experience in project management. Excellent oral and written English communication skills and a strong ability to work in an interdisciplinary team are essential. This position offers an innovative work environment with access to state-of-the-art equipment, including GPU-expanded HPC infrastructure.
