Job Summary

This pioneering role seeks an expert to architect and implement a novel programming paradigm for parametric and implicit geometry, specifically designed to power an AI foundation model for turbomachinery components like turbine blades. The successful candidate will design robust geometry generation frameworks, curate massive, scalable geometry datasets, and integrate these systems with complex multi-physics simulation chains (CFD/CHT/FEA). Daily tasks involve developing methods for geometry representation for AI models (e.g., signed-distance fields or meshes), automating large simulation batches on HPC environments, and optimizing pipelines for reliability and throughput. Key requirements include a PhD or MSc in a relevant engineering or computer science field, strong proficiency in Python and C/C++, and practical experience applying AI/ML techniques to geometry processing and physics modeling. This position offers the opportunity to drive the next generation of AI-powered industrial design tools.

Required Skills

Education

PhD or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with emphasis on geometry processing, CAD/CAE, or thermo-fluids.

Experience

  • Professional experience in geometry processing, CAD/CAE, or thermo-fluids
  • Solid understanding of internal cooling for turbine blades and Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) in turbomachinery
  • Experience with AI/ML applied to geometry and/or physics (e.g., mesh neural networks, surrogate modeling)
  • Familiarity with CFD, CHT, and FEA workflows, including setup and validation

Languages

Not specified

Additional

  • Mobile work possible by individual arrangement, up to approximately 40%.
