The core responsibilities involve planning and executing development projects in automation and measurement technology, including designing robust control concepts and systems, building prototypes, and conducting rigorous testing. A key aspect of the role is the implementation of automation projects utilizing PLC, visualization, and drive systems, alongside specialized programming tasks using tools like MATLAB and LABVIEW, and programming microcontrollers or FPGA components. You will also be responsible for guiding new products and technologies in automation and measurement through to market maturity. Candidates must hold a university degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology) and possess strong knowledge of measurement, control, and regulation technologies. The position offers a challenging, long-term perspective in a future-relevant, crisis-proof sector, requiring strong team and communication skills.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable engineering science.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in planning, processing, and controlling development and automation projects (desirable)
  • Experience in supporting departments and companies regarding automation issues
  • Experience in bringing automation and measurement technology products to market maturity
  • Experience in initiating and leading projects for developing devices and processes for track service
  • Professional experience or knowledge in programming microcontrollers or FPGA components (beneficial)
