Job Summary
The Leibniz University Hannover is seeking an Administrative Officer to manage its substantial portfolio of third-party funded projects, which amounts to approximately €170 million annually. This crucial role involves ensuring compliance with budgetary, grant, and tax law through the meticulous review of contracts (including those in English), application documents, and final usage reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include the administrative control and monitoring of ongoing projects, providing expert advice to project leaders on complex administrative and financial matters, and acting as the primary liaison between funding bodies and the scientific community. The ideal candidate must possess a background in public administration or economics, strong organizational skills, high resilience, and proficiency in relevant tools like SAP ERP (PSM and FM) and MS Office. This position offers a stimulating environment within a major university setting.

Successfully completed Administrative Training Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) OR Diploma in Public Administration (FH) OR Diploma in Administrative Business Management (FH) OR a comparable Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Economics/Business Studies
Experience
- Professional experience in grant management or public administration
- Experience in reviewing contracts and financial usage reports for compliance
- Experience advising stakeholders on administrative and budgetary issues
