Job Summary

This role is for an engaged Project Manager to join the Ökoagentur für Hessen, focusing on diverse projects in nature conservation, compensatory measures for environmental impacts, the establishment of climate-resilient forests, and the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive. The successful candidate will be responsible for comprehensive project management, including conceptualization, oversight, and acquisition of new projects, as well as essential commercial and contract management tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant environmental initiatives within Hesse, combining office-based work with fieldwork and client interaction. It requires a proactive, independent professional with a strong background in environmental studies and project steering, particularly in landscape planning and nature conservation.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Biology, Agriculture, Forestry, Geography, Water Engineering, or a comparable environmental field.

Experience
