Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer specializing in Product Customizing Engineering, focusing on bespoke customer adaptations for the "Doorphone" product family. The core mission involves independently developing technically reliable, tailored product solutions based on specific customer requirements, ensuring strict adherence to current regulations and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include the technical processing of customer orders, defining specifications for suppliers and subcontractors, and conducting comprehensive risk assessments over the product's entire lifecycle. A crucial component of this position is the continuous refinement of the Product-Customizing-Framework for the Hager-Intercom/DoorCom/ELCOM product family, ensuring compliance with normative guidelines, environmental aspects (e.g., RoHS, REACH), and manufacturing capabilities. Furthermore, the engineer will lead standardization projects (STO) across Germany, France, and Italy, collaborating closely with product managers and cross-functional departments to transition successful custom solutions into standard product offerings. This position requires strong technical project management skills and proficiency in CAD and SAP systems.
