Job Summary

This Mechanical Engineer role is crucial for the design, development, and technical research of electric ride-on and electric pedestrian warehouse forklifts at Heli's first R&D center outside of China, located in Friedberg, Hessen. Responsibilities span the entire product development lifecycle, including conceptual design, cost accounting, prototype creation, test verification, and preparation for production. The engineer will conduct in-depth studies on critical vehicle components, such as drive, hydraulic, and control systems, ensuring designs meet strict safety and efficiency regulations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, procurement) is essential to ensure manufacturability and sustainability. Candidates must hold a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, possess at least five years of specialized R&D experience in electric warehouse forklifts, and be fluent in both German and English.
