Job Summary

This role seeks a proactive Publication and Information Manager to actively shape the institute's information and publication services, bridging the gap between scientific research, digitalization, and knowledge transfer. Key responsibilities include overseeing publication management, maintaining the MPG.PuRe repository, and providing expert consultation to researchers on scholarly publishing, Open Access, copyright, and licensing. You will also coordinate and develop digital library infrastructure, including cataloging systems, and contribute to the planning of new physical and digital space concepts for the institute's information hub. The position requires a completed university degree in Library/Information Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field (B.A. or higher), strong IT affinity, and a keen interest in Open Access, Open Data, and digital information systems. This is an unrestricted position offering significant creative freedom to develop modern information services within an international, collegial research environment, and is suitable for both experienced professionals and career starters.
