Job Summary

This role involves working as a Project Engineer within the HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) control technology domain, focusing specifically on SCADA Communication Gateway components. The core responsibilities include managing signal mediation between automation devices, integrating communication technology for auxiliary systems, and coordinating with control centers. Day-to-day tasks involve creating and maintaining technical specifications and manuals, clarifying signal lists with internal interfaces, external customers, and suppliers, and configuring the central data gateway (IPCOMM ipConv) and other protocol converters. The engineer will be crucial in system integration and commissioning components in test setups in Erlangen and Forchheim, ensuring flawless communication and conducting signal tests. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Computer Science, professional experience in control technology for energy transmission systems, and advanced understanding of SCADA systems.
