Job Summary

This role seeks a Project Engineer specializing in High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Supervisory Control Technology (Leittechnik) to work on-site in Erlangen. The core responsibility involves the creation, configuration, and validation of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Day-to-day tasks include drafting detailed technical specifications, manuals, and HMI concepts, defining visualization requirements, and configuring the HMI software, ideally using Copa Data Zenon. You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the central signaling system and ensuring the flawless integration and function of HMI components within test setups. The position requires strong collaboration skills for coordinating requirements with internal interfaces, external customers, and suppliers, as well as providing technical support during acceptance testing and commissioning. Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, fundamental HMI project planning experience, and expertise in crucial control protocols like IEC 61850. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
